Description

1880 Cent, PR67 Red
Beautiful Color Throughout, CAC

1880 1C PR67 Red PCGS. CAC. Snow-PR4. Coppery-orange surfaces support swaths of deep-red on each side of this Superb Gem proof, complementing flashy mirrored fields and sharp, frosty design motifs. The obverse alone would certainly have earned a Cameo designation, although the reverse is slightly less contrasted at its center. About a dozen pieces have earned the elusive PR67 grade including PCGS and NGC examples combined, yet this is the only one of those to earn CAC endorsement. PCGS Population: 9 in 67 Red, 0 finer. CAC: 1 in 67, 0 finer (9/24).(Registry values: N2998)
