1882 1C PR62 Red and Brown ANACS, bright orange with some peripheral violet color, the upper reverse has a sizeable lamination, a mint error, lovely despite a pair of lilac spots behind the portrait; 1889 PR62 Red and Brown ANACS, seemingly conservatively graded, the purple and gold patina is rather attractive; 1902 PR62 Red and Brown ANACS, glossy green and lavender patina, another pleasing example; 1904 PR62 Red and Brown ANACS, bright and blotchy orange and violet patina, extremely clean for the grade; and a 1909 PR62 Red and Brown ANACS, iridescent orange and yellow-green color, well preserved but a few small spots. The later proof issues in the series have lower mintages than do the middle dates. A good opportunity for the observant collector.

The marketing was exceptional from the photos to the ads in Civil War Times and North South Trader for the cross over people!!! I have had many emails from my Civil War collecting fraternity that saw these and I saw them at the national show in Nashville/Franklin in early December.
