Description

1882 Indian Cent, PR67 Red
Razor-Sharp Strike

1882 1C PR67 Red PCGS. CAC. Snow-PR4. This is a well-mirrored fire-red Superb Gem with glimpses of yellow-gold at the margins. The strike is needle-sharp at the headdress and at the bow knot, with all other raised elements equally bold. While the 1882 is seldom seen with cameo contrast, this PR67 Red example offers virtually unimprovable eye appeal. A few obverse carbon flecks are noted, yet the quality is exceptional for this proof date, which is seldom seen in full red with attractive color. The coin is certified in a previous generation PCGS green label holder with CAC endorsement. PCGS Population: 5 in 67 Red, 0 finer. CAC: 2 in 67, 0 finer (9/24).(Registry values: N4719)
