Description

Remarkable PR66+ Red 1883 Cent

1883 1C PR66+ Red PCGS. CAC. A satiny and fully struck honey-gold specimen whose fields and devices approach numismatic perfection. The 1883 has the highest proof production of the series, due to publicity surrounding the No Cents nickel from that year. However, most survivors have acquired carbon over the past 127 years. The present piece is a noteworthy exception. Population: 1 in 66+ Red, 1 finer (8/10).
