    Description

1886 Type Two Cent, PR67 Brown
    Flashy Violet and Ice-Blue Patina

1886 1C Type Two PR67 Brown PCGS. The feathertip points between CA. Type Two proofs are much scarcer than their Type One counterparts. They were struck later in the year and many remained unsold. These were eventually distributed to dealers at face value and can be identified by their deep brown toning and purple highlights, according to Rick Snow, who adds that they should command a premium. This is a spectacularly colorful Superb Gem with flashy violet and ice-blue patina. Population: 5 in 67 Brown, 0 finer (11/18).
