1887 1C PR66 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. Radiant colors appear over each side, including rose-violet, copper-orange, blue, and green. The eye appeal and technical quality are exceptional. Rick Snow explains that this issue is elusive despite a relatively high mintage of 2,960 proofs. He adds, "The 1887 ... is very tough in full red." Indeed, the certified population bears that out. Population: 12 in 66 (1 in 66+) Red and Brown, 5 finer, including Red coins. CAC: 5 in 66, 1 finer (9/17).(Registry values: N1793)
