1892 Cent, PR66 Red and Brown
Extremely Rare in Finer Grades

1892 1C PR66 Red and Brown PCGS. The original red surfaces of this spectacular Premium Gem proof have mellowed to light brown and crimson in places on the obverse, while the reverse exhibits attractive highlights of cerulean-blue and lilac at the peripheries. No mentionable signs of contact are evident. The design elements are sharply detailed and the fields are deeply reflective. From a mintage of 2,745 pieces, the issue is extremely rare in finer grades. Population: 44 in 66 (3 in 66+) Red and Brown, 1 finer (3/24).(Registry values: N1793)
