Elusive Cameo Gem Proof 1893 Cent
1893 1C PR65 Red Cameo PCGS. Deep ruby-red and fiery orange endow this intricately struck Gem. For the 1893, probably only the initial strikes from freshly installed proof dies displayed consequential cameo contrast. PCGS and NGC combined have certified only nine examples as Cameo, and none have achieved a Deep Cameo designation. Population: 2 in 65 Red Cameo, 2 finer (8/10).From The Westmoreland County Collection, Part Three.(Registry values: P1)
