1894 Indian Cent, PR66 Red Cameo
Exceptional Contrast
1894 1C PR66 Red Cameo PCGS. CAC. Ex: Perfection 2. The
proof 1894 Indian cents are frequently seen with excellent mirrors,
and usually with substantial amounts of original orange mint color,
such as the piece that is offered here. This Premium Gem Red Cameo
proof has brilliant orange color with a crescent of violet toning
at the lower obverse and upper reverse. Cameo contrast is
infrequently encountered on the 1894, and this piece has
exceptional field-to-device contrast. Pristine surfaces are almost
entirely void of contact marks. Just two CAC-endorsed proofs exist
in PR66 (one in Red and Brown, and one in Red) with no finer CACs
