    1895 Cent, PR65 Red Cameo
    Sole CAC-Endorsed Example

1895 1C PR65 Red Cameo PCGS. CAC. Ex: Perfection 2. Red Cameo proof cents are rare for the popular 1895 date, and coins with overt contrast between the frosted devices and reflective fields always bring a premium. Remarkably few proofs qualify for the Cameo distinction. This attractive Red example displays strong contrast, with attractive orange centers framed by traces of cherry-red at the rims. A strong strike covers the motifs, while a few cloudy specs and a tiny mark beneath the D in UNITED are noted. CAC reports this sole example as the only Red Cameo proof in any grade with the green CAC endorsement. PCGS population: 6 in 65 Cameo, 1 finer (1/16).
