    Nicely Preserved

    1897 1C PR65 Brown NGC. CAC. The walnut-brown obverse fields complement forest-green devices and good preservation and strike. The reverse offers a similar appearance but adds a bit of rose and burgundy patina into the mix. An extremely attractive coin for the Gem Brown proof grade. Census: 27 in 65 Brown, 17 finer (8/15). One of five in this grade at CAC with four finer.
