    Description

1897 1C PR65 Red PCGS. Eagle Eye Photo Seal, card not included. Even if the surfaces were not appreciably reflective, the pinpoint striking definition would confirm this coin's specimen status. The luster is full with orange-red color that assumes somewhat of a golden cast over the reverse. What little carbon is present is largely out-of-the-way at the reverse denticles. A scarcer 1890s proof Cent with Red surfaces, this despite an original mintage of 1,938 pieces that is not inordinately low for the decade. Population: 10 in 65, 12 finer (2/05).(#2380) (Registry values: N1793)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22AK, PCGS# 2380)

    Weight: 3.11 grams

Metal: 95% Copper, 5% Tin and Zinc
