1902 Cent, PR67+ Red Cameo
Exemplary CAC Registry Coin

1902 1C PR67+ Red Cameo PCGS. CAC. Proof 1902 Indian cents are scarce in high Red grades overall, although examples designated Cameo are in a class of their own. PCGS reports only 10 Red Cameos in all grades, the finest of which are four pieces in PR67 Red Cameo; of these, the current coin is the sole example with a Plus designation, rendering it the sole finest 1902 proof Indian cent at PCGS (3/25). The devices yield satiny luster and are sharp throughout, with deep, watery reflectivity in the fields. Vivid fire-orange color runs throughout, while a loupe detects just a few of the customary microscopic pepper specks on each side. Population: 4 in 67 (1 in 67+) Red Cameo, 0 finer. CAC: 4 in 67, 0 finer (3/25).(Registry values: P1)
