    Splendid Premium Gem Proof 1903 Indian Cent

    1903 1C PR66 Red PCGS. Snow-PR1. With bold 03 digits in the denticles below and slightly to the left of 03 in the date. On the reverse, a faint die line is seen near the center of T in CENT. This is a splendid Premium Gem example that qualifies as one of the better-known survivors of this late date Indian cent proof issue. Fully struck and well preserved, with lovely red-gold and greenish coloration over the two sides. A tiny contact mark is noted on Liberty's cheekbone. Population: 30 in 66 Red, 11 finer (5/08). (Registry values: N1793)
