Lowest 20th Century Proof Mintage

1907 1C PR66 Red PCGS. CAC. Snow-PR1. While the 1907 has the highest circulation strike mintage in the series with more than 108 million pieces struck, only 1,475 proofs were produced. A single die pair accomplished the entire proof mintage. This exemplary representative displays medium green-gold color across the obverse and bright peach-gold throughout the reverse. The nearly pristine, sharply struck surfaces are limited to only two or three inconsequential carbons. PCGS Population: 18 in 66 (1 in 66+) Red, 2 finer. CAC: 4 in 66, 0 finer (9/24).
