Description
Outstanding 1912 Indian Half Eagle PR66
1912 $5 PR66 PCGS. Virtually undisturbed, fine matte surfaces grab the viewer with myriad tiny granular facets overlaid in orange and olive color. A few tiny toning flecks are detected under magnification, but there are no shiny spots on the highpoints of the design elements and the coin has a strong visual impact on the viewer. Fewer than half of the 144 matte proof Half Eagles produced this year appear to have survived and, of the small quantity of Gem or better specimens we have offered over the years, this beautiful representative compares quite favorably. Population: 20 in 66, 9 finer (12/04).From The Gold Rush Collection.(#8543) (Registry values: N7079)
Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28E6, PCGS# 8543, Greysheet# 9336)
Weight: 8.36 grams
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
