Description

1941 Jefferson Nickel, PR68
Iridescent Rainbow Toning, CAC

1941 5C PR68 PCGS. CAC. The mintage of 18,720 proof nickels in 1941 has provided plentiful availability through PR66, and with some effort PR67 examples can be found. PR68 proofs are scarce, and as the issue did not produce any Cameo pieces, PR68 examples are the finest numerically available at either service (3/26). This Superb Gem proof is precisely struck and unabraded, and the highly reflective surfaces are magnificently displayed in delightful pastel rainbow toning. This is an impressive Registry-grade proof.(Registry values: N991)
