Description

1942 5C Type One PR68 PCGS. Ex: Tom Mershon Collection. Neither NGC nor PCGS has certified any coins finer than this resplendent specimen, and PCGS reports just eight pieces at the PR68 level (8/08). Vibrant yellow toning encircles the perimeter and contrasts nicely against the light blue patina that covers the centers. This decisively struck piece would be an excellent addition to a registry set.(Registry values: N991)
