Beautiful White-on-Black Registry Coin
Accented Hair Variety
1964 50C Accented Hair, FS-401, PR68 Deep Cameo PCGS. The
Cherrypickers' reference calls the Accented Hair proof
"somewhat common in variety terms," although we would add that Deep
Cameo examples are genuinely scarce regardless of grade. In Superb
Gem condition, Deep Cameo Accented Hair Kennedy halves are rare.
Such is the importance of this Registry Set candidate. The coin is
almost flawlessly preserved and yields liquidlike reflectivity in
the fields. The devices are fully struck and frost-white. A 1964
proof type coin in this condition would be a major interest to
Kennedy half collectors, and the Accented Hair variety only boosts
this piece's appeal. Population: 19 in 68 Deep Cameo, 1 finer
