Description

1841 N-1 Cent, PR65 Brown

1841 1C PR65 Brown PCGS. N-1, R.5. Housed in a green-label PCGS holder, this splendid reddish-brown cent has nearly flawless surfaces with a carbon speck near star 12 and an insignificant planchet void in the left obverse field. The strike is bold as expected, although natural oxidation dulls the surfaces, subduing the mirrored fields. Slight reflectivity remains on each side. When this coin was offered in February 2009, Bob Grellman assigned a grade of PR62, and we agree with his assessment. Our EAC grade PR62. Population: 2 in 65 Brown, 2 finer (6/12).
