Slanted 55, N-10

1855 1C PR64 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. N-10, R.5 as a proof. Grellman Die State a. The small die defect on the front edge of the coronet attributes the Newcomb pairing. The flashy fields, mark-free surfaces, and sharp strike are all characteristic of proof production. The pumpkin-gold obverse appears full Red except for moderate carbon. The reverse is orange-red but the borders are dusky and also display forest-green. Our EAC grade PR63.
