1855 N-10 Cent, PR64 Red and Brown

1855 1C PR64 Red and Brown PCGS. N-10, R.5. This variety is R.1 as a business strike, and R.5 as a proof. Probably about five dozen are known in all grades. This pleasing piece in a first-generation PCGS holder has fully mirrored fields with splashes of orange mint color and considerable bluish-brown toning. The obverse border has a small area of greenish corrosion below the date. A dark spot is located above the left serif of the E in LIBERTY. MRB PR60. Population: 4 in 64 Red and Brown, 2 finer (3/11).(Registry values: P1)
