PR64 Brown 1857 Large Cent, N-3, Small Date
1857 1C Small Date PR64 Brown NGC. N-3, Low R.5. The deeply mirrored fields reveal aquamarine, rose-red, and lime-green when this razor-sharp specimen is rotated beneath a light. Devoid of contact, although the lower obverse has a few small brown freckles. Proofs were made from two different sets of Small Date dies, while the Large Date (N-1) is known solely from business strikes.
