    Beautiful PR64 Cameo 1892 Eagle

    1892 $10 PR64 Cameo NGC. Despite the fairly high proof production of 72 pieces, there are few high grade examples that appear in the numismatic marketplace. Only nine times in the last dozen-plus years have we offered examples in PR64 or finer grades. Furthermore, only a handful of the proofs of this year show deep cameo contrast, making the Cameo designation of the present example a bonus. Beautiful deep sunset-gold coloration, arm's-length eye appeal, a bold strike, and an absence of visible distractions complete the package. Census: 3 in 64 Cameo, 2 finer (11/06).
