Description
1904 Half Eagle, Unc Details
Rare Impaired Proof
1904 $5 -- Repaired -- PCGS Genuine Proof. Unc Details. JD-1,
R.4. One of just 136 proofs struck, of which perhaps 80 to 100
pieces survive. This example displays attractive, medium-gold color
and retains its sharp proof strike. A number of tiny marks appear
throughout both sides, and a polishing serves to diminish the marks
while bolstering the coin's reflectivity. The rims suggest the coin
may have been held in a bezel at one time.
Note for clients in the European Union: This lot is considered by the European Union to be “investment gold”. We believe that it meets the criteria established in Article 344(1), point (2) of Council Directive 2006/112/EC and thus should be exempt from import VAT regardless of the selling price. Any questions or concerns about VAT should be addressed to your accountant or local tax authority.
