Description

1884 Nickel, PR67 Deep Cameo
Sole Finest at PCGS

1884 5C PR67 Deep Cameo PCGS. Although more than 3,900 examples of the 1884 Liberty nickel were reported struck, few survive today at the Superb Gem proof level. Most have too many surface ticks or other problems to qualify for the near-pristine grade. PCGS has seen precisely five submissions in PR67: There are four Cameo submissions, and this piece is the sole finest and only Deep Cameo in PR67 (9/13). The surfaces show intense black-on-silver contrast with no trace of toning beyond a light pinkish-gold cast. This recently certified PCGS coin now takes its place atop the current Condition Census. The proof strike is full throughout.(Registry values: P1)
