Not Sold Description
1885 5C PR66 PCGS. Rare as a circulation strike, the 1885 is less challenging in proof, which was the preferred format for collectors in the 1880s. This Premium Gem proof is sharp and lightly toned in gold hues with a sprinkling of gray patina. Mirrored fields contrast with Liberty's frosted portrait on the obverse, while the reverse is slightly less mirrored at its center. PCGS has certified just 30 finer pieces as regular proofs (2/19).(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 277T, PCGS# 3883, GSID# 2991)
