Description
1888 5C Nickel PR65 NGC. This is a remarkable, high-grade Liberty nickel. The fields show extraordinarily deep reflectivity on each side, and it is somewhat surprising that the coin was not designated as a Cameo. The devices are also fully struck in all areas, and there are no obvious contact marks on either side. Of special note is the difference in color on each side. The obverse displays rich, deep golden-rose toning, while the reverse is nearly brilliant.(Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 277W, PCGS# 3886, Greysheet# 3000)
