Wonderful 1909 Nickel, PR68
1909 5C PR68 NGC. Soft sky-blue, violet, and gold patination runs over the immaculately preserved surfaces of this wonderful Superb Gem, and a well executed strike imparts much better detail to the devices than ordinarily seen on this issue. The only exception is the typical softness in the left corn ear. Strong field-motif contrast is apparent, especially on the obverse.
