Rarely Seen 1879 Proof Quarter Eagle

1879 PR 64 Cameo NGC. An extremely rare proof with a mintage of only 30 pieces. From that original production, it is estimated today that between 15 and 18 pieces still survive as recognizable proofs. This is a deeply reflective coin that shows a light accent of frost on the devices. Slightly hairlined with a thin hazy film over each side and no mentionable surface defects.
