1886 $2 1/2 PR61 Cameo NGC. The proof 1886 two and a half has a miserly mintage of 88 pieces, and presumably a number of those were eventually spent and/or melted. NGC has certified 37 examples in all grades (as of 5/10), but there are undoubtedly resubmissions within that quantity. The present needle-sharp specimen is friction-free and lacks any singularly relevant marks, but the fields suggest indifferent storage a century ago.(Registry values: P3)
