Description

1892 Liberty Quarter Eagle, PR63
Undesignated Contrast

1892 $2 1/2 JD-1, R.5, PR63 PCGS. The coin, housed in a generation 3.1 green label holder, displays remarkable ochre-gold luster with distinct undesignated contrast. There are some light abrasions on the piece that are not overly detracting from the appeal. A survivorship of just 50-75 pieces from the original 105 proofs remain, with just 15 coins seen by PCGS exceeding Select Uncirculated (3/26).
