Description
Select Proof 1893 Two-and-a-Half
1893 $2 1/2 PR 63. This proof quarter eagle delivery registered a miniscule production of 106 pieces. Faint repunching on the last two digits in the date is visible under a loupe and serves to distinguish the proof survivors from their business strike counterparts. The near-bottomless fields boldly reflect the thickly frosted devices. Free of all but a few trivial hairlines, the surfaces display rich, orange-gold coloration.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 288G, PCGS# 7919, GSID# 8558)
