Description
Proof 1900 Quarter Eagle
1900 $2 1/2 Genuine PCGS. Proof. The PCGS number ending in .94 suggests Altered Surfaces as the reason, or perhaps one of the reasons, that PCGS deemed this coin not gradable. In our opinion, this coin has the details of a Proof specimen that has altered surfaces. This fully struck specimen offers reflective butter-gold fields that contrast with luminous motifs. To the casual viewer, the coin appears to merit a high grade. A scant 205 proofs were issued.(Registry values: P1, N1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 288P, PCGS# 7926, GSID# 8579)
