Description
Seldom-Seen 1900 Quarter Eagle, PR58
1900 $2 1/2 PR58 NGC. With a mintage of just 205 pieces it is no surprise that proof 1900 quarter eagles are seldom seen today. Heritage has auctioned fewer than two dozen examples since 1992, and this this will be the first time we have offered one in over a year. Eye-catching glassy reflectivity complements the powerfully struck design elements. A trace of wear and a number of tiny abrasions account for the grade. Census: 8 in 58, 14 finer (7/09).(Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 288P, PCGS# 7926, GSID# 8579)
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
