Description
1900 Quarter Eagle, PR67 Ultra Cameo
Gorgeous Gold Proof Type Coin
1900 $2 1/2 PR67 Ultra Cameo NGC. The first U.S. proof
quarter eagle issue to top 200 specimens struck, the 1900 is
popular among type collectors for its availability in better
grades. Though resubmissions undoubtedly are at play with the NGC
Census Report, the date is the most accessible in the series
at PR67 and finer Ultra Cameo grades (4/13). Of course, those coins
remain rare in an absolute sense, and the Superb Gem offered here
is a delicate and delightful beauty. Gold-frost devices,
exquisitely detailed, rise from gleaming fields that range from
pale canary-yellow to black, depending on the angle to the
light.(Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 288P, PCGS# 97926, Greysheet# 8581)
