    Description

    Attractive Proof 1903 Quarter Eagle

1903 $2 1/2 PR62 PCGS. Struck in the all mirror finish used for just a couple of years at the Philadelphia Mint. Bright yellow gold and pleasing for the grade. Examination with a loupe will note a few stray contact marks, including a nest of faint lines between the branch and the left wing of the eagle. Boldly struck as expected and highly appealing for the grade. One of just 197 struck in Proof in 1903, and a very rare coin for the collector who appreciates the caviar of American numismatics.(#7929) (Registry values: P1) (NGC ID# 288T, PCGS# 7929)
