Description

1903 Liberty Head Quarter Eagle, PR64
Brilliant Finish Proof

1903 $2 1/2 PR64 PCGS. Only 197 proof quarter eagles were struck in 1903, and about half that number survive today. Although the Mint used a brilliant finish for the devices, as well as the fields for the 1903 proofs, the present coin displays definite elements of contrast. The striking details are razor-sharp, and the surfaces are deeply reflective. Population: 36 in 64, 24 finer (6/10).(Registry values: P1)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 288T, PCGS# 7929, GSID# 8588)

Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
Weight: 4.18 grams
