Description

1904 Quarter Eagle, PR63
Scarcest of the Late-Date Proofs

1904 $2 1/2 PR63 PCGS. CAC. This Select proof glistens with orange-gold color and considerable mint frost on the central devices. Glassy-mirrored surfaces show a few light marks in the left obverse field, although there are no individually distracting abrasions. The reverse is fully Gem. A pair of shallow fissures are seen -- one on Liberty's jawline, and another within the hair over the ear -- neither is visible without magnification, nor are they of any import. CAC endorsement confirms the obvious eye appeal.(Registry values: P1)
