Cameo Finish 1905 Proof Quarter Eagle

1905 $2 1/2 PR64 Cameo NGC. Both sides of this pleading near-Gem are awash in rich orange-gold patina. The surfaces exhibit deep brilliance in the fields with a modest, yet evident endowment of mint frost over the devices. A little light haziness is seen at a few angles, with distracting hairlines being all but nonexistent. One of just 144 pieces produced, many of which have been either lost of impaired.
