Description
1905 PR62 Quarter Eagle
Deeply Mirrored Example
1905 $2 1/2 PR62 PCGS. CAC. The 1905 is one of the more
frequently encountered post-1900 proof quarter eagles. From its
initial mintage of 144 pieces, It is found in a wide variety of
conditions. This is a deeply mirrored example that displays
surprising contrast against the lightly contrasted devices on the
reverse. Scattered light hairlines and a few contact marks explain
the technical grade, but the coin actually presents finer than the
stated condition.(Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 288V, PCGS# 7931, GSID# 8594)
