Bright 1905 Gem Proof Quarter Eagle

1905 $2 1/2 PR65 PCGS. Struck in the no-contrast method common to most proof coins after the turn of the century, this piece has exceptionally deep mirrors in the fields and bright, polished devices as well. The glassy surfaces are a uniform golden-orange hue and can be distinguished by a small, black spot on the D of the denomination. A high quality survivor from a modest production of just 144 proofs.
