Description
Splendid, Near-Gem 1905 Proof Quarter Eagle
1905 PR 64 NGC. Another of the non-contrasting proof specimens that is most likely to be seen on the issues from 1902 to 1907. The rich yellow-gold surfaces offer intense reflectivity and show just a little contrast on the reverse. Several short and very minute hairlines are all that keep this attractive piece from the gem category. One of 144 proofs issued.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 288V, PCGS# 7931, GSID# 8594)
