Description

1905 $2 1/2 PR 58. With an original delivery of only 144 pieces, this is a deservedly scarce issue. The present specimen, while noticeably impaired, still evidences its proof qualities. The devices are richly frosted and powerfully delineated despite light wear on the highpoints and the fields are deeply mirrored. The expected hairlines and scuffiness on both sides hardly inhibit this example's pleasing overall eye appeal.
