Description

1906 PR 60 PCGS. While not considered a rare proof date, we have not handled many examples of this issue over the past few years. Now, we have two proofs in the same auction. Of the 160 pieces originally produced, today perhaps as many as 65 exist in all grades. While this is certainly not one of the finer ones extant, it is immediately recognizable as a proof by its deeply reflective fields and intricate striking details. The grade is explained by the noticeable hairlining in the fields.
