Description
Choice Proof Liberty Quarter Eagle
1906 PR 64 PCGS. While not considered a rare proof date, we have handled surprisingly few examples of this issue over the past years. Of the 160 pieces originally produced, today perhaps as many as 65 allegedly exist in all grades. This piece is certainly recognizable as a proof by its deeply reflective fields and intricate striking details. A no-contrast proof, there are a few scattered hairlines in the fields that account for the grade. Rich golden-orange color throughout.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 288W, PCGS# 7932, GSID# 8597)
