Description
Vibrant PR 64 1906 Quarter Eagle
1906 PR 64 NGC. While not considered a rare proof date, we have handled surprisingly few examples of this issue over the past several years. Of the 160 pieces originally produced, today perhaps as many as 65 allegedly exist in all grades. This piece is certainly recognizable as a proof by its deeply reflective fields and intricate striking details. There is also a slight contrast evident between the fields and devices on both sides. The only marks of note are on the reverse: a thin hairline scratch at the right side of the T in UNITED, and a small lint mark to the left of ER in AMERICA.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 288W, PCGS# 7932, GSID# 8597)
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
Weight: 4.18 grams
AGW: 0.12095oz
