PR63 Red and Brown

1909 1C VDB PR63 Red and Brown ANACS. Mostly red with a faint accent of light iridescent gold, lime-green, and violet colors. An exquisitely struck and beautifully preserved matte proof. Much scarcer than the variety without the reverse initials and the key to the series with only 1,194 proofs struck. Few of the remaining recognizable proofs will show as much red as is present on this example.(Registry values: N1793)
