Description
Gorgeous 1909 VDB Cent, PR 66 Red PCGS
1909 1C VDB PR 66 Red PCGS. This issue's first-year status is enough to guarantee its popularity among both advanced type collectors and Lincoln cent specialists. The 1909 VDB is also, however, a low mintage (1,194 pieces) proof issue that becomes increasingly more difficult to locate the closer one comes to the Gem level. PCGS has bestowed the PR 66 Red grade on only nine examples, and there are only two PR 67 Red examples finer (6/00). A simply stunning specimen, the surfaces are awash in matte-like, golden-orange luster. There is not a single hairline or contact mark of note and the devices are expertly defined.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22KR, PCGS# 3302, GSID# 2472)
