Largest Mintage of the Matte Proof Cent Series

1910 1C PR66 Red and Brown PCGS. The 1910 had the largest mintage (4,118 pieces) of the 1909-1916 matte proof cent series. A fair number of Red and Brown examples are available through Gem condition, after which the issue becomes very elusive. Gold-brown patination adheres to both sides of this Premium Gem and the strike is full throughout, including Lincoln's hair and the lines and grains in the wheat stalks. A few light specks of carbon can be seen on each side. Population: 25 in 66 (1 in 66+) Red and Brown, 4 finer (3/14).(Registry values: N991)
